Description:
A profound short film of Bahi’s live art performance, ‘Enemy 적’, was showcased in Seoul on 16th July 2020 at The Hidden Time (히든 타임즈) exhibition with the assistance of artist Jae Hyun Shin (신제현). This project, which commenced in London in October 2018, portrays Bahi’s identity crisis and her journey to reconcile her Persian, British, and Korean cultural identities. Through this performance, Bahi expresses the emotional turmoil and conflicts she faced from a young age, including the impact of oppressive laws and political circumstances as a Baha’i from Iran. Her art, which includes etching into wood, chanting prayers, and dancing, symbolizes her resilience and search for a sense of belonging.
